Guide :Dehumidifiers : DH504EL Dehumidifier

Another question I cleaned the whole thing and it still does not work. The fan and compressor do run like normal, just no water is ever collected. Any other ideas one what could be wrong? We have had the dehumdifier for a year or so and it worked fine up until a month or so ago. It runs like normal, but no water is ever collected. We recently bought another dehumidifier that is the same size as this one and it fills at least once a day so I know their is enough humidity for the other so it should work. It is not iced up or anything either. Any ideas as to what might be wrong? Warm moist air is drawn over the cold evaporator coils where it condenses and drains. Dry clean air is drawn over the condensing coils, heated several degrees and returned to the room. If your evaporator or condensor coils are dirty, this could be one reason. Of course if the compressor is not running would be another reason. Check the air filter too. Catriver...post back
